Serve

Serving at BGCC?

Here at BGCC we have several opportunities for you to get plugged in with the church and Bowling Green community. A great way for us to care for the people around us is through serving. At BGCC, we serve internally within BGCC, locally in Bowling Green, and globally.

We believe we were created to make a difference. When we choose to serve, the impact of that service changes lives. Whether you serve on a ministry team in our church, in our community, or around the world, your investment in the lives of others makes you a part of their story forever. It takes a lot of volunteers to move ministry forward, and there’s a place for you.

Serving the Community

Being a church that loves our neighbors means investing our time and resources in our community. Here are a few of the local organizations that we’re passionate about.
Room in the Inn
Room in the Inn is a partnership between the Homeless and Housing Coalition of South Central Kentucky, HOTEL INC, and local churches. The goal of this ministry is to meet the needs of the homeless in our community and connect them with resources to help them transition out of homelessness. BGCC is involved in many facets of this ministry and is especially passionate about hosting our homeless friends on Friday nights during the winter season.

Meals, Inc.
MEALS INC unites local churches in the mission of preparing, packaging, and delivering hot meals to feed the hungry in our community. A network of churches serves on a rotational basis to meet this need each weekend.
LOCK
LOCK (Loving Our Community’s Kids) is a ministry of BGCC that partners with the Family Resource Center at Bristow Elementary. Throughout the year, LOCK provides school supplies, Christmas gifts, coats, social activities, and mentoring relationships for kids.
CSF
CSF is a campus ministry that exists to serve college students during their time at Western Kentucky University. It serves as a “home away from home” for these students. Here, they can find a Christ-centered community, ask the tough questions about life and faith, and grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus. They have a weekly worship service and many fun club meetings and activities throughout the week for students.
Hotel Inc.
HOTEL INC is an organization that prioritizes solutions to the affordable housing crisis and homelessness, something that many in our Bowling Green community face. Its mission is to offer pathways to stable housing and community resources, to build relationships, provide quality food, and serve its neighbors. They invite financial institutions, developers, builders, property managers, and everyday citizens to work alongside agencies like them to address real barriers to flourishing in our community.
