Serving the Church
A life of faith is expressed through action. In fact, we believe that we will never reach maturity in our faith until we serve. Partnering with a ministry team allows us to make a difference in the lives of others at BGCC and in our community. It's also a great way to meet people who share the same interests as you do. Our needs are as diverse as the people who attend our services. To get connected in service at BGCC, click here.
If you're unsure how to serve or you want to find new ways to serve, join the "Discover your SHAPE" huddle. It will help you discover your gifts and connect you with ministry opportunities that fit your unique shape. For information about huddles, visit the Connection Room (202) after the 9:00am or 10:30am service.
Serving the Community
Being a church that is for our neighbors means investing our time and resources in our community. Below are a few of the local organizations that we are passionate about.
Room in the Inn is a partnership between the Homeless and Housing Coalition of South Central Kentucky, HOTEL INC, and local churches which provides food, shelter, and personal care for the homeless during the winter months.
MEALS, INC unites local churches in the mission of preparing, packaging, and delivering hot meals to feed the hungry in our community. A network of churches serves on a rotational basis to meet this need each weekend.
LOCK (Loving Our Community's Kids) is a ministry of BGCC that partners with the Family Resource Center at Bristow Elementary. Throughout the year, LOCK provides school supplies, Christmas gifts, coats, social activities, and mentoring relationships for kids.
Serving the World
While we can't always directly impact our neighbors across the globe, we can indirectly support them through our financial contributions to organizations that God has positioned to meet their needs. A portion of every donation is given to these strategic partners. For details about these ministries and how to contribute, click here.
